Sommer Special mit Ralf Hartmann

Thirty years ago, Ralf Hartmann left Baden-Baden and moved to France - his adopted home - for a fresh start: since then he has made his living entirely from music, writing and performing his own songs. In France alone he plays around 170 gigs a year, blending rock with folk influences. In 2013 he took part in the French version of The Voice and has opened for Charlie Winston, Liane Foly, Bernard Lavillier, Johnny Clegg, Madness, Neneh Cherry, the Scorpions, Alice Cooper and others.

At Rantastic he performs with his full band: Thomas Dupré (drums, from Paris), Christophe Galindo (bass, occasionally guitar) - a singer/songwriter in his own right - and Alban Skorny on guitar. The set draws on original songs from the past 20 years alongside timeless covers. Ralf's lyrics touch on his own life, politics and world affairs, as well as love.

The event takes place outdoors and will move inside if the weather turns. Doors open at 18:00. Entry is free - the artists welcome a hat donation. Table reservations are accepted only for the 18:00-18:30 window and lapse after half an hour. Booking is recommended. Info line: 07221 39 80 11
