Behind the Scenes - the Mercedes-Benz Art Collection

The event series "Blick hinter die Kulissen" (Behind the Scenes) offers access to different areas of the Sindelfingen plant. The evening opens at the Mercedes-Benz Kundencenter with a welcome and an introductory film screened in the cinema room.

This edition focuses on the Mercedes-Benz Art Collection. In a small group, participants head straight into FACTORY56, where works from the company's own collection are on show. Founded in 1977, the collection now holds around 3,000 works by more than 800 artists - including pieces by Andy Warhol, colour-rich variations by Günter Fruhtrunk, and sculptures on the theme of sustainability. Expert guides are on hand to answer questions, such as why a car manufacturer has been collecting and exhibiting art for 50 years.
