Old Love - Open Air
Theater Ravensburg, Germany
With: Jutta Klawuhn and Bernd Wengert
How much rust can an old love take? Quite a lot, if Elke Heidenreich's play of the same name is anything to go by.
Time has left its mark on Lore and Harry after more than 30 years of marriage. Lore, a passionate librarian, dreads the thought of retirement - sitting idle beside her husband day after day. Freshly pensioned Harry, meanwhile, is happiest pottering around in his garden. Both find themselves at a crossroads: either they settle into a couple that stays together purely out of habit, or they seize one last chance at a second spring.
On one thing, though, they fully agree: their daughter Gloria has managed to get everything in life spectacularly wrong. Now Gloria wants to marry - for the third time - a fabulously wealthy industrialist who could easily be her father. How did it ever come to this?
Wry, sharp-tongued, touching and genuinely funny, Lore and Harry battle through the routines of married life until they rediscover the love that brought them together in the first place.
