Dirkschneider - BALLS TO THE WALL - SUMMERSHOWS 2026
Club Vaudeville, Lindau, Germany
DIRKSCHNEIDER is not simply a second incarnation of U.D.O. - the band dedicates itself exclusively to the musical legacy of Udo Dirkschneider's time in ACCEPT, the band he founded in the 1970s. As a co-songwriter he shaped the sound of an entire scene, alongside Peter Baltes, who now holds the bass spot in U.D.O. From that creative period came, among other things, an album called "Balls To The Wall".
That album is the centrepiece of the Summershows 2026: DIRKSCHNEIDER will perform the entire record live - a belated celebration of the 40th anniversary of ACCEPT's best-selling studio album, released in late 1983. Udo himself says: "I'm incredibly excited to pay tribute once more to THE successful album of my band ACCEPT. Bringing 'Balls To The Wall' to the stage in its entirety, with Peter Baltes by my side, will definitely be one of the great highlights of my career!"
After roughly 45 minutes of "Balls To The Wall" - featuring cult songs like the title track, 'London Leatherboys', 'Love Child' and the closing ballad 'Winterdreams' - the show continues with further programme items, including musical surprises and a newly designed live staging. Also on stage: drummer Sven Dirkschneider and guitarists Andrey Smirnov and Fabian "Dee" Dammers.
