Night of Music: Duo Equinox - Viva Tango!

Duo Equinox opens the Night of Music on October 3rd at the Old Monastery in Bad Saulgau with a programme titled "Viva Tango!".

The repertoire features works by Astor Piazzolla, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Celso Machado, Carlos Gardel and Gerardo Matos Rodriguez, along with a tribute to the Neapolitan song tradition.

At the heart of the programme lies the historical connection between Italian and Argentine music: the massive wave of Italian immigration to Argentina in the late 19th and early 20th centuries shaped tango as a hybrid form of expression, where European melody meets South American rhythm.
