Kettenheimer Hof-Orchester - Italian Programme - German Premiere of the 2nd Symphony by Moritz Pfister

In summer 2026, the Kettenheimer Hof Orchester (KHO) embarks on a concert tour to Bologna, Rome and Perugia with an all-Italian programme. All concerts in Italy are charity events in aid of local childhood cancer research; the musicians cover a large share of the costs themselves.

The programme features opera overtures by Vincenzo Bellini, Gioachino Rossini, Giuseppe Verdi and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, alongside the 2nd Symphony ("The Italian") by Moritz Pfister, the orchestra's 21-year-old artistic director.

The closing concert of the tour takes place on 12 September 2026 at the Friedenskirche in Handschuhsheim - with the German premiere of the symphony.
