3. Choriner EuropaKonzert 2026 - Memorial Concert for Prof. Dr. Peter Gülke

The Choriner Musiksommer pays tribute to Prof. Peter Gülke (* 29 April 1934 in Weimar; † 26 April 2026 in Weimar), who shaped the festival over many years. The concert is conducted by Nabil Shehata, with András Schiff at the piano.

The programme features Georg Friedrich Handel's Concerto Grosso op. 6 No. 6 in G minor, Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 7 in B minor D 759 op. 29 "The Unfinished", and Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major op. 73.

A pre-concert introduction takes place at 14:15 in the refectory.
