Kindersommer: Lieschen Radieschen
Freilichtbühne Prerow, Germany
LIESCHEN RADIESCHEN AND THE LÄMMERGEIER
A puppet theatre show freely adapted from the story by Martin Auer, for children aged 4 and up.
Lieschen Radieschen always turned red in the face - always, no exceptions. Nobody could handle her. Not even Aunt Evelyn, who used to be a kindergarten teacher: "The Lämmergeier takes children who get that angry, Lieschen!" - "Pah! No Lämmergeier is taking me - I'll take him!" she shouted and ran off. The Lämmergeier came and tried to carry Lieschen off to the island of angry children. But Lieschen pressed her lips together, squinted her eyes and turned red. "Nothing doing," said the Lämmergeier, and brought Lieschen to a kingdom where she wanted to become a princess. A black princess, naturally - with a black cape and a black sword.
The self-assured girl then chases every robber in the land, takes on a dragon and rescues the prince. But he turns out to be no real prince at all - just August Haselböck from the third floor. And so two children become friends, united by wild imagination and a shared struggle with stubborn grown-ups.
