Performative Poetry Reading Vorspiel
Cargo Theater im H15, Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany
Zlata Zhuravliova is a Ukrainian poet and cultural manager. She grew up in a small town near Dnipro and has lived in Berlin since age 16 - between two countries and two languages, she developed her poetic voice.
In 2025, her first bilingual poetry collection "Vorspiel" was published. The texts are divided into three chapters - Life, Love, and War - exploring coming of age, the search for identity and home, and how war transforms one's perspective on life.
The evening in Freiburg combines autobiographical narratives and poems with music. "Vorspiel" is not a conventional reading but a stage performance about memory, identity, and the question of where one stands between two worlds.
