Accordion Concertante
with the Symphonic Accordion Orchestra Munich

Conducted by Rupert Fischer and Martin Sigl, the newly founded 40-piece ensemble performs a wide-ranging programme: Dvorak's "Serenade for Strings in E major", the "Adagio from Spartacus and Phrygia" by Aram Khachaturian, Howard Shore's film score from "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring", "Schwabenstreiche" by Adolf Gotz, and tangos by Astor Piazzolla and other South American composers.

Vienna-based bandoneonist Nico Kaiser appears as soloist, and surprise guests have been announced. The concert celebrates the accordion as Instrument of the Year 2026.

The Veranstaltungsforum Fürstenfeld is a major cultural and event centre on the grounds of the former Fürstenfeld Cistercian monastery, just west of Munich. The historic baroque ensemble - including the abbey church, festival hall and courtyard - hosts concerts, theatre, congresses and large public events throughout the year.
