Margulis Piano Trio - Classical Matinee

Born in Germany into a well-known Russian musical family, the Margulis Piano Trio brings chamber music of the highest calibre. The trio has performed at numerous music festivals, including Hamburg, Lugano, and St. Petersburg, and their recordings include the CD "Argerich and friends", captured live at the 2015 Lugano Festival for Warner Classics. In 2021, Martha Argerich invited the MPT to make their debut at the Leitzhalle in Hamburg. The trio was mentored by Vitaly Margulis, Ivry Gitlis, Sergei Babayan, and Pavel Vernikov.

At the ZMF, they will perform as part of the final matinee, presenting a classical programme with works by Schubert, Saint-Saëns, Ravel, and Mussorgsky.
