Melanie Dekker

Melanie Dekker is a Canadian roots-pop artist whose music moves between quiet, introspective moments and raw emotion. Her sixth studio album, "Secret Spot", came out in 2018. During the pandemic she recorded two more records: "Barnstormer - Take One", drawing on the sound of the Roaring Twenties, and the fifties-inspired Christmas album "The New Old Fashioned Way".

Her earlier work earned wide recognition: "Distant Star" sold 12,000 copies, Keith Scott and Pat Steward (bandmates of Bryan Adams) contributed to her recordings, and "Revealed" was produced by David Kershenbaum (Tracy Chapman, Joe Jackson). Her music is played on radio and has been licensed for film and television.

Dekker plays around 80 shows a year and has opened for Bryan Adams, Diana Krall, Faith Hill, Edwin McCain, and Russell Peters.
