A warm, entertaining evening with journalist and presenter Christine Dähn and musician Thomas Natschinski.

"Jugendliebe" is widely regarded as the most beloved East German hit of all time in the new federal states, and Ute Freudenberg turned it into a cult song. Christine Dähn, celebrated as the finest voice of radio DT 64, chronicled the singer's success story in her book about Ute Freudenberg - "Die Donnerstagsrose". She reads from it the best stories and anecdotes: Ute's first love, her fondness for a pig named Mäxchen and country air, Herbert Grönemeyer's swallowed vowels, the love for Hauptstraße in Weimar Schöndorf - where John Lennon once declined to have his glasses repaired - and what connects this woman from Thuringia with Uwe Ochsenknecht, Tom Hanks, Björn Borg and David Copperfield.

Thomas Natschinski, songwriter and keyboardist, composed not only "Berührung" - the most beautiful love song of the GDR era. He knows the world of love songs and rock 'n' roll classics inside out and performs them live at this concert.
