The world is on the brink of another world war, the League of Nations is hopelessly divided - and a newspaper ad reads: "Help us, God!" So God sends Peter. Whether he can actually save the world is another matter entirely.

It is the 760,839,000th anniversary of the creation of the world. God has had enough of humanity and its endless quarrelling. When the League of Nations places an ad seeking a new, benevolent God, he grudgingly dispatches Peter and two angels to Geneva - but even divine envoys can't get far without a valid passport. A colourful comedy of errors ensues.

Viennese writer Maria Lazar (1895-1948) wrote the play in the 1930s; it fell into obscurity for decades and was only rediscovered in 2022. Its world premiere took place in September 2024. A comedy that makes the laughter catch in your throat.
