Heinrich Steinfest - "Die Linkshänderinnen"
DAI Heidelberg, Germany
Three women with nothing in common except their left-handedness - and that turns out to be enough. A chance encounter on a plane leads to a joint venture: a small cocktail bar designed entirely around the needs and habits of left-handers. With an exquisite interior and a knack for the right drink, the trio becomes a local institution. Until one evening, 35 French guests simply vanish from their care.
Publisher Piper describes the novel as possessing a "cheerful originality".
