Astrid Lindgren - "Humanity Has Lost Its Mind"

The ARTISANEN ensemble embarks on a biographical journey tracing the life of Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. Using a puppet and objects, they tell the story of this remarkable woman - not only as the creator of outstanding children's literature, but also as a keen observer of her times. Her diaries from World War II speak powerfully about the state of the world then and now.

The evening illuminates the life of a woman who remained politically engaged well into old age, fought for children's and animal rights, and called on people to view the world with curiosity and courage. Her message: "Reason must be rediscovered in order to create a better world."
