Katze im Sack - Shakti and Matze present surprise guests - OPEN AIR at Kulturgarten

Katze im Sack - literally "buying a pig in a poke" - is a new event series that Shakti and Mathias Paqué (formerly of MON MARI ET MOI) have launched together with Kammgarn. The concept: whoever shows up doesn't know in advance who will perform.

On the last Wednesday of January, March, and May 2026, two artists from the cabaret and small-stage world take the spotlight - each for 45 minutes of singing, playing, reading, clowning around, or whatever they do best. Shakti and Mathias invite up-and-coming new talents as well as established acts who fill venues elsewhere but haven't yet played Kaiserslautern. On top of that, the two hosts perform one song nobody has heard before - one premiere per evening, guaranteed.

If you go, you're buying a pig in a poke. That's exactly the point.
