How nature shapes our world through cooperation

Physicist and network scientist Dirk Brockmann presents his book Survival of the Nettest (dtv 2025) and offers a new vision of evolution: not the survival of the fittest, but cooperation is the true engine of life. Animals, plants, fungi, and bacteria are in constant exchange - Brockmann weaves together biology, physics, and society into a case for cooperation and diversity as an answer to the crises of our time.

Following the lecture, Brockmann discusses the importance of collaboration with Theo Geisel (MPI for Dynamics and Self-Organization).
