Book signing: "Die Bernsteinfischerin"

On 28 August 2026, Lisa Quentin will sign copies of her new summer novel "Die Bernsteinfischerin" at Hugendubel bookshop in Berlin Steglitz.

At the heart of the story is Julika: by day an amber researcher who dives into long-lost worlds, by evening a carer for her ailing mother. When she meets Ebba - a woman who has always forged her own path - she learns of a love that has outlasted decades, storms and blows of fate, and finds in it the courage to believe in a fresh start.

Lisa Quentin, born 1985, studied German literature and psychology in Freiburg and worked as a copywriter and online editor before turning to writing full-time. She lives with her husband and three children in Lübeck. The idea for the novel came when she stumbled upon the profession of amber fishing and began researching the cultural history of the fossilised resin.
