As an author, journalist, and communications specialist, she writes travel guides about Schleswig-Holstein together with her husband, as well as quizzes on topics such as coffee, chocolate, spices, and weddings. For her novels, she has received awards including the "Innocent Award Best Book 2019". In March 2026, the Gmeiner publishing house released the sequel "Happiness Tastes Like the Sea - The Candy Maker's Shop".
