ensemble reflektor - DER DÄMON - Music & Dance - Young Voices, Big Questions: Music and Dance at the Intersection of Past and Present
Kulturforum Lüneburg, Germany
In ensemble reflektor's DER DÄMON, music and dance meet: works from the "Roaring Twenties" by Erwin Schulhoff and Paul Hindemith, alongside American composer Jessie Montgomery (*1981), encounter young dancers under the direction of choreographer and dancer Rhea Gubler.
The programme draws parallels between the often-romanticized "Golden Twenties" and the present day - asking what strength a young generation possesses when given a stage. It explores solidarity in times of crisis, the feeling of fundamental uncertainty, the struggle for equality and personal freedom.
Supported by the Hansestadt Lüneburg, the Ministry for Science and Culture of Lower Saxony, the Stiftung Niedersachsen, and NDR Musikförderung.
