Jil Pappert performs with her sextet, formed in 2023, which she places in the "New Urban Jazz" genre - a blend of modern jazz and neo-soul. Her compositions and lyrics question social norms and invite reflection.

The pieces played this evening will also appear on her debut album, which she will record in late October as a grant recipient of the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg.
