About: Fiddler on the Roof

Fiddler on the Roof is a 1964 musical with music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, based on the stories of Sholem Aleichem. It follows Tevye the milkman as he tries to hold his family and traditions together in tsarist Russia. Songs like „Tradition" and „Sunrise, Sunset" have made it one of the most performed musicals in the world.

About the venue: Theater Trier

Theater Trier is the municipal theatre of Germany's oldest city, staging opera, operetta, musicals, drama and dance throughout the season. The current building on Augustinerhof dates from 1964 and seats around 650 in its main house. A smaller studio stage hosts experimental and youth productions alongside the main programme.
