KRISHNA - Dance Drama & Residency Showcase - Guest Performance

KAZ e.V. Göttingen and SAMVEDAN - Kathak Studios Germany present KRISHNA, a dance drama by Panwar Music and Dance (Toronto, Canada). The piece tells stories from Krishna's life through Kathak choreography, music, and stage design.

Performing on stage are Canadian Kathak artist Vaishali Panwar, Germany-based Kathak artist Deodatt Persaud in the role of Krishna, and dancers from SAMVEDAN Kathak Studios.

The guest performance also serves as the closing showcase of a residency during which the participants worked together on dance-based storytelling drawn from Krishna's life. The choreographies created during this process will be presented at this public finale. Vaishali Panwar's stay in Göttingen is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts.
