Since November 1996, Jürgen Kuttner has been hosting his video-snippet evenings monthly at Berlin's Volksbühne - a format that has become indispensable in the German-speaking theatre landscape. Each evening has two elements: the videos and Kuttner himself, who selects, edits, and presents them on stage.

Initially, the clips came from old East and West German broadcasts, but Kuttner now operates globally. Chinese, Indian, or Russian television, Swiss TV programmes, Hollywood B-movies - all of it flows in on equal terms. However entertaining, instructive, or bizarre the individual snippets may be on their own, their true effect unfolds only through Kuttner's commentary.

As early as 2019, the Potsdam audience experienced a video-snippet evening for the first time, then on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Now Kuttner returns and will host two evenings in the Reithalle during the current season.
