The Endless Construction Site - An Absurdly Real Story of Laughter and Suffering

North Rhine-Westphalia is a construction hotspot - many large building sites, even more small ones. And the small ones pack a punch too, especially when work simply refuses to get moving.

This is what happens outside the ice cream parlor "Eisleben" run by siblings Mona and Max Eisleben - one early morning a long-awaited construction site is set up and then... rests in peace. Not quite in peace, though: the barriers and especially the portable toilet have unexpected consequences for life around "Eisleben". "From then on it was all downhill," one might say with Hildegard Knef - were it not a genuine Mondpalast comedy, complete with character types, hilarious situations, and ultimately a hopeful "uphill" turn.

The piece is performed by the seasoned Mondpalast ensemble based on a text by house author Sigi Domke.
