The LIMES Quintett was founded in 2021 - the five musicians met during the "epoche f" masterclass of Ensemble Modern in 2020. They studied or are studying in Cologne, Berlin, Leipzig, Vienna and Paris and are among others scholarship holders of the German Academic Exchange Service and the German Foundation for Musical Life.

Former members of the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic, they now perform in ensembles such as the Staatsorkester Stuttgart, Nuremberg Symphonics, Ensemble Modern and Lower Rhine Symphonics.
