Die 5. Jahreszeit #3 - Dicker Dienstag - World Premiere

WORLD PREMIERE featuring fragments from Vivaldi's "Four Seasons", Renaissance carnival music, and improvisations by the Novoflot ensemble.

Novoflot draws on the traditions of the Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday movement from New Orleans and serves as initiator and host of newly founded Magic Societies - musical associations whose performances are meant to herald the carnival of the future. Together with the dissonArt ensemble, soloists from the international jazz scene, and musicians from the Berlin scene, a hybrid music-theatre work emerges with over 100 participants.

Following the society's inaugural celebrations in May 2026 at the Greek National Opera in Athens, Novoflot now invites audiences to Fat Tuesday at Theater im Delphi. The production is part of a 16-month cycle titled Die 5. Jahreszeit and combines contemporary music, jazz, Renaissance carnival music, political speeches, and compositions.
