Die 5. Jahreszeit #3 - Dicker Dienstag

WORLD PREMIERE featuring fragments from Vivaldi's "Four Seasons", Renaissance carnival music, and improvisations by the Novoflot ensemble.

Novoflot draw on the traditions of the Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday movement from New Orleans and are founders and hosts of newly established Magic Societies. These present unusual performances that herald the carnival of the future. Together with the dissonArt ensemble, soloists from the international jazz scene, and musicians from the Berlin scene, a hybrid music-theatre work emerges with more than 100 participants.

Following the association's first celebrations in May 2026 at the Greek National Opera in Athens, Novoflot now invites you to Fat Tuesday at Theater im Delphi - to the gradual creation of a new carnival vision through music.

The production is part of a 16-month cycle titled Die 5. Jahreszeit and combines contemporary music, jazz, Renaissance carnival music, political speeches, and compositions.
