Augsburger Allgemeine Literary Evening - Guest: Thomas von Steinaecker

Thomas von Steinaecker - writer, filmmaker, audio drama author, and podcaster - comes to the AZ literary evening with his new novel "Schwestern". On Thursday, October 1st, at 7:30 p.m., he reads from the book and discusses his writing.

In the novel, Bettina grows up with her older sister Simona in the Bavarian countryside. Simona has been intellectually disabled since birth, and Bettina takes on responsibility for her early on - yet she dreams of becoming an actress. To lead her own life, she must break free from her family. A novel about closeness and distance, and the courage to find one's own voice.

Following the reading, the Literary Salon takes place: bookseller Kurt Idrizovic and book blogger Marius Müller discuss three new literary releases from spring. The evening is hosted by AZ editors Stefanie Wirsching and Birgit Müller-Bardorff. The event is organized by Augsburger Allgemeine and Stadtbücherei Augsburg.
