What happens to a person when cut off from the world - and what does loneliness mean in an age when we seem permanently connected to one another?

Teatro Pro transposes Marlen Haushofer's celebrated novel into the digital present. At its centre is a woman who has lived in isolation for years - but unlike Haushofer's original, she does not write a report about her life behind the invisible wall. Instead, she turns her smartphone camera on herself. She speaks, films, remembers, broadcasts.

The protagonist becomes an influencer of her own solitude. Her thoughts, fears, and memories transform into a public video diary for an imaginary audience of followers - perpetually visible yet utterly alone.

Haushofer's "Wall" takes on new meaning: it becomes a metaphor for the digital world, where millions of people can communicate with one another, yet genuine closeness remains elusive.
