Adolf - Der Bonker

It is the final days of war. Adolf Hitler hides in his "Bunker", accompanied by his dog Blondi and a bottle of Chantré. His bleak existence as a war loser and mass murderer is constantly interrupted by prank calls from his greatest rival Winston Churchill, who disguises himself as a Playboy journalist, the Pope, or Günter Jauch. Meanwhile, the doorbell rings: Eva Braun, Michael Jackson, or God want to talk to him - or are they also in disguise?

Walter Moers' Hitler caricature was created in 1997 and gained international recognition over time. The video clip "Ich hock in meinem Bonker", showing the dictator splashing in the bathtub, has been viewed almost seven million times. Moritz Nikolaus Koch adapted the third volume of the Adolf series for the stage; the stage version premiered in 2021 in Hildesheim.
