In the Night Man Does Not Like to Be Alone
Konzerthalle im Kurpark, Bad Salzuflen, Germany
35 €
Under this motto, baritone Paul Holzmann sets out to win a new heart - a song title by Franz Grothe from the 1930s that remains as timely today as it was then.
Violist Lisa Hansen pursues similar goals. As a modern woman, she has quite different views on conquest than the singer and master of ceremonies in tailcoat and top hat. The fact that she also loves to sing and he happens to be skilled at the violin leads to entirely different questions as the evening unfolds.
THE ACCOMPANYING ENSEMBLE performs tango, paso doble, rumba, foxtrot and waltz in arrangements tailored to the instrumentation, with spectacular instrument changes in the style of the Weintraub Syncopaters. The production is directed by Thomas Huder, director of the Palastrevue and trumpeter of the Palastorchestra.
