Kai Strauss Electric Blues Allstars

Kai Strauss is one of the major figures on the European blues scene. The singer and guitarist was captivated as a teenager by the music of Buddy Guy, Albert King, and the Vaughan Brothers - and has since carved out his own path through the genre.

He launched his professional career in 1995 alongside Texas-born vocalist Memo Gonzalez. As a solo artist, he has established himself with an internationally assembled band: multiple German Blues Awards and festival appearances from Europe to the Caribbean speak for themselves.

His songs tackle serious themes, and his guitar work is anything but formulaic. Strauss has learned the grammar of the old blues masters, but plays it with his own voice and energy - no paint-by-numbers approach.
