Robert Kreis - "Manche mögen´s KREIS"
Thalhaus Wiesbaden, Germany
"... what a blessing that artists like Robert Kreis exist," wrote the Stuttgarter Zeitung: "With passion and unabashed love, Kreis takes the audience on a literary-musical journey through an era when entertainment art was more inventive, wild, and often more daring than ever before or since."
Kreis has made it his mission to preserve the great age of cabaret art from oblivion - the couplets, hit songs, and chansons of the 1920s. He presents their texts and themes with charming wit as timelessly relevant.
In his current "Highlights" programme, he looks back on his 30-year stage career: first performances, behind-the-scenes moments - and of course the beloved chansons and couplets of the Weimar era. Kreis on Kreis: "Others take drugs, I prefer shellac!" - "It's so light to be high!"
