Description was written before the event

Curated by Fabian Habicht and Frederich Helbing, edition #86 features a freshly assembled ensemble for the opener set - musicians who most likely have never played together on stage before. Collective improvisation, new connections, risk. The exact line-up remains a surprise until just before the start.

The Horst Sessions provide the Rhine/Main music scene with a platform for diversity, creativity, and experimental spirit. After the opener set, the jam session opens - musicians with their own instruments are warmly welcome. Guitars and bass amplifiers, keyboards, microphones, and drums are available on site.

From 18:00, the Frankfurter Schüler-Jamsession takes place with free admission, where students jam together with jazz professionals. Instrumentalists aged 12-18 can participate; friends, parents, and anyone interested in jazz are welcome to listen. Session team: Corinna Danzer (sax), Gernot Dechert (sax), Martin Lejeune (g), Jonas Lohse (b), and Stefan Schulz-Anker (drums). An event by "Jazz und Improvisierte Musik in die Schule!" in cooperation with the US Consulate General.
