(Rasier mich) Does My Silence Provoke You? - Lena Meral Albrecht

(rasier mich):

A couple's dialogue - a quarrel, a non-quarrel, the desire to move forward, the knowledge of hatred between them. An inevitability that resists being bypassed.

DOES MY SILENCE PROVOKE YOU?

A monologue about everything that was, and everything that should not have been. Transparency, fear, safety, understanding.

The theoretical foundation of the work is the oeuvre of literary theorist, psychoanalyst, writer, and philosopher Julia Kristeva. Her concept of the abject forms the basis: through it, the work approaches what is neither object nor subject - the unsaid, the said, the animate, time, pain, the bed, the sheets.

Content note: narrative of boundary violation. Themes of patriarchal violence.
