Jim Knopf and Lukas the Engine Driver - A Play for Children Based on Michael Ende's Book

A play for children based on Michael Ende's beloved children's book.

"An island with two mountains lies in the deep, wide sea, with many tunnels and tracks and railway traffic" - that is Lummerland. There live all sorts of cheerful people and an old, snorting steam locomotive named Emma. When King Alfons the Fourteenth declares overpopulation and has Emma removed, Lukas the engine driver and his friend Jim Knopf cannot accept it. Emma belongs to them.

The three set out on an extraordinary journey into the unknown. Who the Wild 13 is and how they rescue Princess Li Si from the clutches of the dangerous Mrs. Mahlzahn can be seen from June 4th at the Harzer Bergtheater Thale in an imaginative production by Harztheater.
