Description was written before the event

This year's annual concert of the St. Bonifatius Choir takes place under the motto "Laus et honor - Praise and Honor". The programme features works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Heinrich Schütz, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Zsoltan Gárdonyi, and Edward Elgar. The soloists are alto Nicole Schumann, tenor Jonas Boy, and Cantor Dr. Johannes Schröder at the organ. The artistic direction is led by choir director Sven Hanagarth.

Two works with particularly large ensemble frame the evening: Johann Sebastian Bach's cantata "Bringet dem Herrn Ehre seines Namens" opens the concert with strings, oboes, and trumpet; Edward Elgar's "Give unto the Lord" closes it with choir, organ, and orchestra. Between them, choir, solo voices, organ, and orchestra alternate in varying combinations.
