One More Page

Why reading makes us happy - that's what Meike Winnemuth explores in her new book "One More Page" (Penguin 2026), which she will present at Literaturherbst.

Throughout the summer, Winnemuth reads everything that comes her way: from Seneca through Tolstoy to Virginia Woolf and Sally Rooney, from the Bible to "Fourth Wing". She conducts experiments on herself, meets other book lovers, and embarks on expeditions into the wide world of literature - after earlier books about world travels and garden expeditions, now a reading retreat.

In conversation with Stefan Goes (Alumni Göttingen e. V.), the Göttingen University graduate shares her experiences.
