EVENT: Blendwerk

On October 9, 2026, Volker Klüpfel and Michael Kobr will be guests at the Hugendubel bookstore in Frankfurt to celebrate the release of their new crime novel "Blendwerk". The special feature: both bestselling authors will personally work the cash register and ring up your books. Afterwards, they will sign your copies.

In the 14th installment "Blendwerk - Kluftinger ermittelt", the easygoing Allgäu detective encounters the world of Instagram, hashtags, and glossy Reels. A well-known influencer falls to her death in the Eistobel gorge - and suddenly the idyllic Alpine landscape is filled with suspicion, envy, and online hatred. Kluftinger must determine whether a risky selfie went wrong or whether someone deliberately turned the illusory world of social media into a crime scene.

Volker Klüpfel (born 1971) studied political science and history in Bamberg, later worked for a newspaper in the USA and in the features section of Augsburger Allgemeinen. Michael Kobr (born 1973 in Kempten in the Allgäu) studied German and Romance languages in Erlangen and subsequently worked as a secondary school teacher. Both live in the Allgäu.
