The legendary 1922 silent film - Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau's "Nosferatu - A Symphony of Horror" - is performed with a completely newly composed live score. Award-winning film composer Udo Langer (German Rock & Pop Prize) and his partner Markus Spiethaler have developed their own musical approach: floating synthesizer textures, percussion, melodic guitar riffs, and moments of quiet delicacy. Running time is 2 x 50 minutes.

After the premiere in autumn 2024, critics described "an electrifying symbiosis" and "symphonic poetry", noting that the performance shifts the viewer's perspective entirely: "The film illustrates the music, not the other way around." In December 2024, the newly composed score won the Deutschen Rock-Pop Preis in the category "Best Film Music of the Year".

Langer and Spiethaler have explored the character of Nosferatu in depth - raising questions the film has rarely asked before: Is Nosferatu himself a victim? Does he carry a tormented child's soul? The letter passages in the film have also been translated into readable text for the first time. "There are far more nuances and a latent eroticism," says composer Langer.
