Dave Goodman - Acoustic Guitar

Dave Goodman is often called a musical chameleon - a description that aptly captures his stylistic range: blues and rock in his youth, then jazz, along with the Anglo-American and Irish-Celtic musical traditions he inherited from his mother.

After years in Canada and the United States and formal music training, he moved to Germany in the late 1990s, where he developed his own distinctive style as a singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist. His voice ranges from the tender timbre of ballads to glissando-like blues phrasing.

Eleven solo CDs, DVDs, and instructional publications are part of his discography, along with joint concerts with John Lee Hooker and Jeff Healey, plus tours and festival appearances across Europe, the United States, Canada, England, and Germany. On stage, he combines high-level fingerpicking with his own compositions and humorous storytelling - from sensitive ballads to moving or witty songs that resist easy genre classification.
