Ramatou Orchestra - Autumn Dance

"Ramatou" is a Wolof word meaning "parrot" - and the music of the Frankfurt octet by the same name is equally colorful and loud. Ramatou Orchestra blends African influences, neo-soul, fusion and funk into a sound best described as jazz: driving grooves, catchy melodies, inventive arrangements and playful improvisation from all the musicians.

Line-up: Khadim Seck (percussion, flute, vocals), Linda Kufert (trombone), Leon Binder (alto saxophone), Frederich Helbing (guitar), Matthias Hoch (bass), Alexander Pechmann (piano), Nefeli Galani (viola) and Philipp Wildenhues (drums).

Opening the show is Chevalier, performing jazz and pop with influences from dance, hip-hop and R&B.
