Hans im Glück - Interactive Fairy Tale Theater

Hans receives a large lump of gold from his master and sets out into the world. In good spirits, he trades the gold for a horse, a cow, a pig, a goose, and a whetstone - until he finally lets the stone fall into a well. Freed from all burdens, he returns home with the realization: "Happiness only visits those who are completely open to it."

In participatory theater, an experienced actor tells the fairy tale and takes on all the roles. Children can call out their ideas and thoughts directly to the stage - the actor spontaneously picks up these impulses and weaves them into the story. At many points, children can also perform on stage themselves.

The production is by Johannes Galli, with music composed especially for it by Johannes Galli and Michael Summ. A CD featuring all the fairy tale songs from the play - including backing tracks and lyrics - is available at the theater.
