LINH TRAN - "Aus dem Handgelenk - Warum ich Weltmeisterin im Tischkickern werden musste"
Nochtspeicher, Hamburg, Germany
Linh Tran has won nearly everything there is to win in table football: a multiple world champion, the first woman able to make a living from the sport professionally. Yet the more successful she becomes, the more pressing the question: what is it all for?
In her autobiography "Aus dem Handgelenk - Warum ich Weltmeisterin im Tischkickern werden musste" (Edel Sports, published September 2, 2026), she tells the story of a career she never planned, of family pressure, and of life between two cultures. She speaks openly about searching for an answer to the question: when am I good enough? And about how, at her lowest point, she found her way back to herself.
On this evening, Linh Tran reads from the book together with journalist and author Mara Pfeiffer. In conversation, they explore the stories behind the chapters - about origins, female empowerment, and mental health. Following the reading, there will be a question-and-answer session with the audience and a book signing.
