The evening opens in an unusual way: with the finale from Franciszek Lessel's Symphony No. 5 in G minor. This is followed by Joseph Haydn's Symphony No. 47 in G major, featuring original ideas and playful experimental spirit. Gioacchino Rossini's overture to "Semiramide" brings bel canto brilliance to the programme - radiant melodies, driving rhythms. The evening concludes with Haydn's Symphony No. 56 in C major, powerful and festive.
