AM ACHTEN TAG SCHUF GOTT DEN RECHTSANWALT - Exclusive Reading Event
Theater am Frankfurter Tor, Berlin, Germany
AM ACHTEN TAG SCHUF GOTT DEN RECHTSANWALT - A classic of German cabaret, presented by Johannes Hallervorden.
The evening begins with a welcome glass of champagne (or a non-alcoholic alternative) and a greeting from deputy editor-in-chief Gilbert Schomaker. This is followed by two hours of programme with Johannes Hallervorden and a meet-and-greet with him afterwards.
The programme takes aim at the German legal system: no nation has produced a comparable abundance of laws and paragraphs - from marriage while unconscious (§1314 BGB) to the proper placement of warning triangles at funeral processions (§27 StVO), wrapped in a language that even lawyers barely understand. The programme is dark-humoured, intelligent and packed with punchlines.
