René Sydow - You May Sit Down Again

The world is in crisis mode, madness threatens from all sides. So what to do: let the problems go or let yourself go? Resist - or simply sit down again?

René Sydow, captivated by language and shaken by political developments, searches in his new programme for answers to the great questions of our time: What happened? Who is to blame? And where is my lawyer? The result is a highly comic philosophical excursion into the madness of our world and the absurd connections between politics and life - or as others call it: finest cabaret.

"The most linguistically powerful and important representative of the generation of political cabaret following Rating, Schmickler and Deutschmann." - Bonner Generalanzeiger

"He is a spectacular text acrobat, a precise observer and dissector, biting, witty, satirical. Few people manage to provoke such thought and further reflection despite bursts of laughter. A restless, obsessed, brilliant artist." - from the citation for the Baden-Württemberg Small Arts Prize
