Season Opening Gala 2026/27 - Highlights of the New Season

The new theatre season opens over two days.

On Friday, 25 September, the season begins with the traditional theatre gala in the Grand Hall. Performances from all genres offer a preview of the upcoming season; additionally, the Theatre Taler and Theatre Mask are awarded for outstanding achievements from the past theatre year.

On Saturday, 26 September, the house at Augustinerhofen opens from 14:00 for a family programme with games and colourful entertainment - also the final theatre festival at this location before the planned major renovation. Those interested in learning more about the renovation can join one of the guided tours of the construction site. At 18:00, a gala programme with performances from all genres follows.
